Chrysler announced an offer that caps the price of gasoline at $2.99 a gallon for three yearsmebeli for people who buy or lease new vehicles from Wednesday through June 2. The offer is based on 12,000 miles of driving per year at the vehicle’s rated fuel economy.
Customers will get a card for buying gas that is linked to their own charge account, Chrysler said. The customer will be billed $2.99 a gallon, and Chrysler will pay the rest.
Actual savings depend on what happens to gas prices over the next three years, but based on the $3.61 a gallon average price reported Monday by AAA, someone buying a 2008 Chrysler PT Cruiser, which gets an estimated 21 miles per gallon in city driving, would save $355 a year.

Microsoft has decided not to release Windows XP Service Pack (SP) 3 to Windows Update and the Microsoft Download Center as planned on April 29. The reason? A last-minute compatibility issue with a Microsoft application — Microsoft Dynamics Retail Management System (RMS).
Here’s the latest from a company spokesperson:
“I wanted to update you on today’s planned release to web (RTW) (of XP SP3). In the last few days, we have uncovered a compatibility issue between Microsoft Dynamics Retail Management System (RMS) and Windows XP SP3 and Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1).

This is one of my favorite series of games… GTA. It’s been awhile since one is released but after tomorrow the wait is over. There are hundreds of articles around the release about how amazing the graphics are, or how deep the game plays goes, but a majority of the press will probably focus on how you can kill police and prostitutes. Just remember, video games don’t kill people. People kill people!

Tech ARP was the first to break the news on the release of Windows Vista Service Pack 1 and the final RTM schedule of Windows XP Service Pack 3. Now, they will be the first to release the full details on Microsoft
’s Windows XP Service Pack 3, which as we know will be available for manual update on April 29, 2008. That’s just a few days away!

This is a bunch of crap seriously. Sure, he definitely needs to make good on the amount he owes, PLUS fines. But sentencing him to 3 years in jail that they taxpayers have to pay for is ridiculous. I know it will be appealed and at minimum I do think it will be at least reduced now that the IRS got their message out, but it really makes me hate the politics that go on in D.C.
A jury convicted Snipes on the misdemeanor charges February 1, but he was acquitted of more serious felony charges of tax fraud and conspiracy. Jurors accepted his argument that he was innocently duped by errant tax advisers.

If you’re a fan of the reality show Survivor, you’ll definitely want to check out the new webisode series CBS put online. It showcases the cast-off’s from when they are voted off to when they first arrive at the jury camp, aka Ponderosa, to what they get to do with their free time. For whatever reason, EBay is suing Craigslist. What is more surprising to me is that EBay owns roughly 28% of Craigslist. I suppose it is smart for EBay since they are probably losing money because since they keep raising their fees, it is more lucrative for sellers to use Craigslist for many items.
In a statement, eBay claimed that in January, Craigslist executives took actions that “unfairly diluted eBay’s economic interest by more than 10%”

The newest service pack (SP3) for Microsoft’s Windows XP is due to release to manufacturing today, April 21st with a public release date of April 28th. There are supposed to be a ton of fixes, including news ones, along with some new features such as NAP included. Given Microsoft’s recent track record, I can say that I won’t be the first to upgrade!
The soon-to-be-released Windows XP SP3 boasts 1,000 different hot fixes, including both new as well as previous patches since Windows XP Service Pack 2 was released in 2004.
Some of the new elements in XP SP3 include: Network Access Protection (NAP) claimed to automatically ensure that a computer is free of bugs and viruses before it can access any network; enhanced black hole router detection claimed to automatically detect routers silently discarding packets; and product activation that does not need product keys for each copy of the operating system to be entered during set-up.

If you haven’t seen them by now, you should check out the webisodes of “The Guild” where Felicia Day and friends parody MMORPG players from games like Everquest and WoW. They are really funny, even more so if you are a player.
