$750 mil? pfft!
March 28, 2006 – 1:26 pmThe creator/owners of FaceBook.com have turned down an offer of $750 million dollars after putting their site up for sale. They are apparently holding out for a cool $2 billion. Either figure is pretty damn good considering Facebook was just started 2 years ago. (yes, 2 years ago.)
It’s a lot of money for another Five Buck Idea. It’s listed as the 7th most popular site, with one of its competitors being myspace.com which is listed as the 2nd most popular site. Myspace sold last year for only $580 million so I’m wondering what value it would be at today? $2.5bil?
