Stolen VA laptop found..

and data looks to be still safe. I for one am glad. I already got a letter from the VA saying someone might have my personal info, so this is good news for me and millions of others. Now I only hope they stop letting people take home that kind of info!! The person it was stolen from apparently had written permission to take the laptop and information home.

“A preliminary review of the equipment by computer forensic teams determined that the database remains intact and has not been accessed since it was stolen,” the FBI said in a statement issued with the VA and the Montgomery County Police Department. “A thorough forensic examination is under way and the results will be shared as soon as possible.”
